Spring cleaning with AIM Recyclage - 2024
"The Contest"

Between April 1st to May 31st 2024, AIM Recycling a DIVISION OF AMERICAN IRON & METAL LP will be giving customers a chance to win 1 of 3 prizes. Official contest rules and regulations follow.

Official Contest Rules & Regulations:

SPONSOR: The Spring Cleaning contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by AIM Recycling, a division of American Iron & Metal LP with many locations throughout the USA (the “Sponsor”).

CONTEST DATES AND TIMES: The Contest begins on April 1st, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. and ends on May 31st, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. EDT (“Contest Period”), after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted. 

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to legal American residents, 18 years of age and older with a valid driver license, residing in the states of California, Pennsylvania and Arizonia only (“Eligible Entrants”). There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. Employees or agents of the Sponsor, or any entity associated with the Contest, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate.  Potential Contest winners will be required to answer a skill-testing question in order to be declared an official winner.

By participating in this Contest, Eligible Entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, including but not limited to all eligibility requirements. Eligible Entrants who do not comply with the Contest Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsor, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, whose decisions shall be final.

HOW TO ENTER: Eligible Entrants can enter the Contest by selling their scrap metal to AIM Recycling and filling out a ballot online at www.aim-1936.com Any attempt or suspected attempt to use illicit means to enter the Contest, or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, shall be deemed as tampering and lead to disqualification. Odds of winning are contingent on the number of qualifying entries received from Eligible Entrants by the Sponsor and the corresponding number of Ballots issued to Eligible Entrants on a weekly basis.

All components must be included in the letter for the ballot to be eligible and the entries must be received at

AIM Recycling Colton before the end of the contest period stated above.

PRIZES: A total of seven (7) prizes are available to be won in California, being 1 Cash prize, and 5 gas cards, along with 1 coolers and Walmart gift cards (each a “Prize”). A total of three (3) prizes are available to be won in Pennsylvania, being 1 Visa gift card prize, and 1 gas cards, along with 1 coolers and Walmart gift cards (each a “Prize”). A total of three (3) prizes are available to be won in Arizona, being 1 Visa gift card prize, and 1 gas cards, along with 1 coolers and Walmart gift cards (each a “Prize”). The first prize is a cheque for $1,500 in California, $1,000 Visa gift card in Pennsylvania, and $1,000 visa gift card in Arizona. In California there are 5 gas gift cards valued at $100 each. In Pennsylvania there is one gas gift card valued at $350. In Arizona there is one gas gift card valued at $350.The last prize is a cooler (valued at $100) along with a $150 Walmart gift card. Winner assumes any and all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by entering, participating in this promotion, or the redemption of any Prize. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable, must be accepted as is and has no exchangeable cash value. The Prize cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions or special offers. Winners may not transfer, modify, or substitute the Prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute an alternate prize of equal or greater value of advertised Prize if Prize is unavailable at time of the award. The Prizes will be drawn on Friday June 14th, 2024 (the “Draw Date”), until all of the Prizes have been allocated to a Winner (as hereinafter defined), The June 14, 2024 draw will include all qualifying entries from Eligible Entrants received by Sponsor up to 4:50 p.m. EDT on May 31st, 2024.

WINNER CONFIRMATION: On the Draw Date , an employee of the Sponsor will conduct a random draw from all the qualifying ballots received from the Eligible Entrants during the contest and select one winner for each Prize (the “Winner”).  The Winner will be deemed a winner only if he or she meets all of the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest Rules, correctly answer un aided mathematical skill testing question and signs and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form (collectively the “Release”) copies of which are attached), all in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  If the Winner does not meet the eligibility criteria, or does not return a signed Release he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the Prize and another Eligible Entrant will be selected as a winner by way of a subsequent random draw.

The Winner will be contacted by e-mail or phone and must respond within three (3)  business days of the Draw Date if he or she is not at the Sponsor’s location on the Draw Date. The Winner will be contacted using the phone number and/or email provided on the ballot. If a Winner cannot be contacted within three (3) business days, another Eligible Entrant’s name will be drawn. The Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a Winner to receive notification by the Sponsor.

RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION: The Winner must sign the Release to: (i) confirm compliance with the Contest Rules; (ii) agree to accept the Prize as is; (iii) release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, and all affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, counsel, marketing partners and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, successors, partners, agents, advisors, suppliers, distributors and assignees (“Released Parties”) from and against any and all manner of liability, action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, use or misuse of the Prize, suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, failure of any third party contractor or supplier used in connection with any aspect of the Contest to perform or deliver any goods or services, any act of God or any other event beyond the Released Parties’ control, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a winner with any aspect of the Contest or any prize, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants, their heirs, successors or assigns have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of the prizes as awarded; (iv) indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the Released Parties may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by an Eligible Entrant with any of the Contest Rules or participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an Eligible Entrant of the Prize; and pay any and all applicable taxes, license, and plating fees with respect to the Prize..

The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry information which may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, or any combination thereof, and entries which fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) lost, stolen, incomplete, damaged, delayed, mutilated or misdirected entries or Release forms either prior to or after deliver to Sponsor; (iv) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Eligible Entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize; (v) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers” or otherwise; or (vi) late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a Winner.

CONDUCT: The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Eligible Entrant it finds to be: (i) violating these Contest Rules; (ii) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (iii) acting in an un-sportsperson-like or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.  Any attempt by an Eligible Entrant or any other individual to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws. Should any such attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

OTHER CONDITIONS: The Sponsor reserves the right to prematurely terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice.  Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and conduct a random draw from those ballots received from all Eligible Entrants by the Contest End Date.

PUBLICITY: By participating in the Contest, Entrants consent to the use of their name, and image on videotape, photograph or other means in any advertising, marketing or publicity carried out by the Sponsor with respect to this Contest, without further notice or compensation and to receive marketing materials from Sponsor.

LAW: The Contest and these Contest Rules shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the province of Ontario, including all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest Rules, rights and obligations between Entrants and the Sponsor, and procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.  Any dispute shall be adjudicated by the courts sitting in Washington, DC.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, designs, promotional materials, images, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are, unless otherwise indicated, individually owned by the Sponsor. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or other intellectual property without the express written consent of the Sponsor is strictly prohibited.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Contest Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Contest, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Contest.
