The Spring Cleaning - 2025 "the Contest"
Official Contest Terms & Conditions
The Contest is organized by AIM Recycling Inc. ("the Company"). The Contest begins on April 1, 2025 and ends on May 31, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. (the "Period").
ADMISSIBILITY
The Contest is open only to individuals residing in Canada, who are 18 years of age or older and who sell scrap metal or non-ferrous metals ("Scrap") to the Company in Eligible Quantities (as the term in Section B1. below) during the Period (the "Participant").
This contest is available only at participating AIM Recycling locations in the following cities:
Canada:
Provinces of Quebec and Ontario: Amos, Bellechasse, Boisbriand, Cornwall, Drummondville, Gatineau, Granby, Haute-Beauce, Lac-Mégantic, La Prairie, La Sarre, Laval, Lévis, Manicouagan, Matane, Mont-Laurier, Montréal-Est, Ottawa East, Ottawa West, Ottawa South, Québec, Rouyn-Noranda, Pembroke, Saguenay, Sept-Îles, Sherbrooke, Sorel, Sainte-Sophie, Thetford Mines, Trois-Rivières, Val D'Or, Vanier, Victoriaville,
Atlantic Canada Provinces: Fredericton, St. John’s, Dartmouth, Bathurst, Cape Breton, Moncton, Saint John, Port of Saint John.
USA:
Maine: Arundel, Bangor, Oakland, Caribou.
This Contest applies only to retail sales of scrap metal; industrial and corporate accounts are specifically excluded. Also, employees of the Company, its representatives and agents, as well as persons residing in the same household, are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
The Company reserves the right at any time to exclude a person from participation in the Competitions in the event of violation of any of the conditions of participation or if the Participant is suspected of fraud, cheating or deception in connection with the Competition.
HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST?
Participation tickets are issued to the Participant as follows:

1 entry ticket for each monetary transaction. Limit of one entry per day.

1 additional entry ticket is awarded upon opening a customer account (first transaction).

During the Promotion Period, and only once, eligible participants may receive one (1) entry by submitting a short essay (300 characters). The essay topic is: In your own words, what services does AIM Recycling offer? The essay must be submitted by completing the following form: https://bit.ly/FreeEntryEssay.
SELECTION OF WINNERS

A random draw from among all entry tickets issued during the Contest Period will be conducted on June 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Company's establishment located at 9100 Henri-Bourassa East, Québec, for each of the prizes.

Prizes will be drawn in order of value, ranging from highest to lowest. Only one prize per winner will be awarded.

Winners will be contacted by telephone within five (5) business days of the draw date and winners must claim the Prize as instructed by the Company within thirty (30) days from the date the Winner was first contacted.

In the event that the winners cannot be reached within five (5) business days of the first contact attempt, the winners will automatically forfeit their Prize and the Company may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate winner.
PRIZES
THE GRAND PRIZES

A check for 5,000 Canadian dollars. (Provinces of Québec and Ontario)

A check for 1,500 Canadian dollars. (Atlantic Canada)

A check for 1,000 US dollars. (Maine, USA)
SECONDARY PRIZES
-
A $150 gift card for Canadian Tire. One gift card will be randomly drawn at each participating AIM Recycling location in Canada.
TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and no transfer, substitution of the Prize or cash compensation will be permitted.

The Winner will be responsible for the registration and transportation costs of the product, if applicable.

In the event that it is not possible to provide the Prize exactly as described in these Rules, the Company reserves the right to substitute a prize or component of approximately equivalent value, at its sole discretion.

Entries are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any false statement by a participant will automatically result in his/her disqualification from the Contest.

Refusal to accept the Prize by the Winner releases the Contest Organizers from any obligation to the Winner.

The personal information provided by the participant, including their name and contact information, is collected solely for the purposes of administering this Contest and will not be used for any other purpose without their consent.

The Contest Organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage or bodily injury of any kind, including, but not limited to, the inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason whatsoever, including errors in postal or e-mail addresses, computer or telephone failures or any other problem with the operation of computer systems, including the Recy® System, any delay or inability to act due to an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their establishment or the establishments of the organizations or companies whose services are used for the conduct of the Contest.

No correspondence will be exchanged, except with the Winner, who will be notified by telephone. By participating in the Contest, Participants consent to the use of their name, image, or both, without compensation, in any future advertising communication by the Company.

By accepting the Prize, the Winner releases the Company from any and all liability with respect to the Prize and its use.

Odds of winning depend on the eligible quantity of scrap and the corresponding number of entry tickets issued.

Subject to applicable law, the Company reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest Rules at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever to any Participant. These rules, as well as any changes made to the rules or the Contest, will be available via the internet on the following website:

Participation in the Contest implies acceptance of these rules.
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
