CONTEST RULES

Spring cleaning with AIM Recyclage - 2024
"The Contest"

The Contest is organized by AIM Recyclage Inc. ("the Company").
The Contest begins on April 1, 2024 and ends on May 31, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. ("the Period").

1. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to natural persons residing in Canada who are 18 years of age or older and who sell to the Company scrap metal or non-ferrous metal ("the Scrap Metal") in Eligible Quantity (as this term is defined in Section B 1. below) during the Period ("the Participant").  This contest is only available at participating AIM Recyclage locations: Amos, Bellechasse, Boisbriand, Cornwall, Drummondville, Gatineau, Granby, Haute Beauce, Lac-Mégantic, La Prairie, La Sarre, Laval, Lévis Dépôt, Manicouagan, Matane, Mont-Laurier, Montréal-Est, Ottawa Est, Ottawa Ouest, Ottawa Sud, Québec, Rouyn Noranda, Pembroke, Saguenay, Sept-Iles, Sherbrooke, Sorel, Ste-Sophie, Thetford Mines, Trois-Rivières, Val D'Or, Vanier and Victoriaville.
 

This Contest applies only to Ferraille retail sales; industrial and corporate accounts are specifically excluded.  Also, employees of the Company, its representatives and agents, as well as persons residing at the same address, are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
 

The Company reserves the right at all times to exclude any person from participation in the Contest in the event of a breach of any of the conditions of participation.

2. How to enter the competition

  • 1 entry ticket for each monetary transaction. For ferrous metals, the scale establishes a minimum transaction of 20 lbs. and for non-ferrous metals, the minimum transaction is one pound.("Eligible Quantity").
     

  • 3 entries from a radio promotional code. Limit of one such use per customer. Customers must have an account with AIM Recyclage and have sold metal at least once during the Period.

3. Selection of winners

  • A random draw from among all entry tickets issued during the Contest Period will be held on June 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Company's establishment located at 9100 Henri-Bourassa East, Quebec City for each prize.
     

  • Prizes will be drawn in order of value, from highest to lowest. Only one prize per winner will be awarded.
     

  • Winners will be contacted by telephone within five (5) days of the draw date and must claim the Prize as instructed by the Company within thirty (30) days of the date the Winner was first contacted.
     

  • In the event that Winners cannot be reached within five (5) days of the first contact attempt, Winners will automatically forfeit their Prize and the Company may, at its sole discretion, designate an alternate Winner

 

4. The Grand Prix
 

  • A cheque for $5,000 Canadian.
     

5. Secondary Prizes
 

  • 6 Milwaukee sets (Milwaukee Tool M18 Fuel 2880-22 Paddle switch for 10.4 cm grinder): valued at $750 each.
     

  • 6 YETI Tundra 65 coolers: a value of $400 each.

6. General terms and conditions

 

  • The Prize must be accepted as awarded and no transfer, replacement of the Prize or cash compensation will be permitted.
     

  • The Winner will be responsible for the cost of registration and transportation of the product, if applicable. 
     

  • In the event that the Prize cannot be provided exactly as described in these rules, the Company reserves the right to substitute a prize or item of approximately equivalent value, at its sole discretion.
     

  • Entries are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any false declaration by a Participant will automatically result in disqualification from the Contest.
     

  • Refusal to accept the Prize by the Winner releases the Contest Organizers from any obligation towards the Winner.
     

  • The personal information provided by Participants, including their name and contact information, is collected solely for the purpose of administering this Contest and will not be used for any other purpose without their consent.
     

  • The Contest Organizers disclaim all liability for loss, damage or injury of any kind, including but not limited to the inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to postal or e-mail address errors, computer or telephone failures or any other computer system malfunctions, including the Recy® System, any delay or inability to act due to an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their place of business or at the places of business of the organizations or companies whose services are used to hold the Contest.

  • No correspondence will be entered into except with the Winner, who will be notified by telephone.  By entering the Contest, Participants consent to the use, without compensation, of their name and/or image in any future publicity communication by the Company.
     

  • By accepting the Prize, the Winner releases the Company from any liability with respect to the Prize and its use.
     

  • The chances of winning depend on the Eligible Quantity of Scrap Metal and the corresponding number of entry tickets issued
     

  • Subject to applicable law, the Company reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest rules at any time without liability of any kind to any Participant. These rules, as well as any changes made to the rules or to the Contest, will be available on the Internet at the following site: www.aim-1936.com/qc-legal. The rules are also available on request from a Participant to the Company.
     

  • Participation in the Contest implies acceptance of these rules.

In this document, the masculine gender includes the feminine for ease of reading.

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
